I knew I was excited when I saw the terroir of San Benito for this grape! This wine is close to where I was born in the Gabilan Mountains - a cooler site, with decomposed granite soils.
So you get INSANE acid and really refreshing gun flint aromas balanced with red currants. It was a genteel whole cluster ferment and aged for 9 months in old barrels!
